Medical Disclaimer
This calculator provides an estimate for informational and planning purposes only. It does not provide medical advice and does not determine whether a prescription is eligible for refill. Actual refill timing may depend on your prescription, pharmacy, insurance plan, PBM, state requirements, medication type, and other factors. Do not change your medication schedule or dosage based on this calculator. Contact your pharmacist or healthcare provider if you have questions.
Estimates, not decisions
RefillDay works only with the numbers you enter. It can't see your prescription, your pharmacy records or your insurance claims, so its dates are estimates. The days supply your pharmacy recorded, your plan's rules and your pharmacist's judgment decide when a refill is filled and paid for.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. RefillDay doesn't recommend doses or tell you how to take a medication. Always follow the directions on your label and from your prescriber or pharmacist. Don't skip, stretch, double or stop doses to make a supply last or to match a calculated date.
Insurance and refill rules
There is no single US rule for when a refill can be filled. Plans, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmacies and states set their own requirements, and controlled substances have additional federal and state rules. Percentages and examples on this site illustrate how such rules commonly work and are not a statement of any plan's policy.
Emergencies
If you have run out of a medication you need, contact your pharmacy or prescriber now. For a medical emergency, call 911. For questions about a possible overdose or poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Accuracy
We work to keep the calculations and content accurate, and every formula is published on How we calculate. Even so, the site is provided as-is, without warranties, and you use it at your own discretion.
