RefillDay

Accessibility Statement

RefillDay should be easy to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control, and people managing medications for someone else. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we've built in

  • Keyboard access. Every calculator, button and menu works with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
  • Clear labels and errors. Every field has a visible label and hint. Error messages appear next to the field, say how to fix the problem, and are announced by screen readers.
  • Not color alone. Status labels such as "Less than 7 days remaining" always use words and an icon, not just a color.
  • Readable text and contrast. Text meets WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark themes, and the layout works when zoomed to 200%.
  • Large touch targets. Buttons and choices are at least 44 pixels tall on phones.
  • Reduced motion. Animations are minimized when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Dark mode. Follows your device setting, or switch it with the moon/sun button.
  • Printable list. Your medication list prints as a clean, high-contrast table.

Known limitations

  • The calculators require JavaScript. The formulas are explained in text on every page, so you can still work out results by hand.
  • Native date pickers look and behave differently between browsers. You can always type the date instead.
  • Third-party content, such as Google Calendar, is outside our control.

Testing

We check pages with automated accessibility audits (including Google Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and we fix issues as we find them.

Report a barrier

If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us: the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use. We'll do our best to fix it and, where we can, help you get the result you need in the meantime.
